Snoring Surgery
In many cases, snoring is caused by obstructions in the mouth or throat that can be removed or made more manageable through surgery. Most commonly the palate and tonsils are the problem but there may be other areas as well. We use leading edge techniques and evidence-based proven procedures to diagnose and treat conditions that can be improved through appropriate surgeries.
Rhinoplasty
Breathing problems can also be addressed through rhinoplasty, which is a re-shaping of the inside and outside of the nose. Rhinoplasty is often performed for cosmetic reasons, or to close a septal perforation (hole in the nose). This can be very effective in improving nasal breathing, and to improve nasal appearance. Click here for more information on rhinoplasty.
Turbinoplasty
Turbinates are long, thin layers of bone and tissue found in the nasal passages. They include blood vessels that warm and humidify the air you breathe. Nasal congestion is often caused by swollen turbinates, and swollen turbinates can also be a factor in sleep apnea. Turbinoplasty repositions and reshapes turbinates to restore balanced air flow and normal turbinate function.
Uvulopalatoplasty
A lengthy palate or uvula is often a problem in snoring and sleep apnea. Uvulopalatoplasty surgery is a procedure intended to reduce or eliminate snoring by reshaping part or all of the uvula at the back of the throat to shorten it and reduce obstruction and snoring.
Expansion Sphincteroplasty
Expansion Sphincteroplasty surgery involves removing tonsil tissue to create space in the back of the throat, and then repositioning the palate so as to widen the airway. For some people it can be an effective treatment for breathing problems and sleep apnea.
Tonsillectomy
The tonsils – two small lymph nodes located at the back of the throat – can sometimes become inflamed, causing swelling and making breathing difficult. During a tonsillectomy, which is a very common procedure to treat snoring and apnea, the tonsils are removed so as to open up the airway.

He helped a great deal with my apnea. I had severe apnea and due to the excellent work done by Brian my apnea is now less than 10% of what it was previously. This has had a dramatic improvement in my life.
